Job Description
Orgill, a leading distributor in the hardware and home improvement industry, is well-regarded for its commitment to delivering exceptional services and solutions to its extensive network of dealers. Known for its innovative approach and industry expertise, Orgill has built a reputation as a dependable partner dedicated to supporting customers with the highest standards of service and quality. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative environment that empowers employees to excel and contribute meaningfully to its success across the United States and beyond. As a dynamic and evolving organization, Orgill continually invests in its people and infrastructure to maintain its competitive edge in the marketplace.
Orgill is currently seeking a collaborative, high-energy Senior Events Planner to join their professional Event Services team. This is an exciting opportunity for an events professional who thrives in a team environment and excels at managing complex logistics while working closely with multiple departments to create seamless, impactful customer experiences. The Senior Events Planner will play a critical role in organizing the logistics for key company events, including the prestigious Orgill Dealer Market, activities at the Innovation Center, and other significant company gatherings throughout the year. This position offers a chance to be involved in end-to-end event planning, from conceptualizing innovative event formats to overseeing execution and post-event analysis.
The role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning their portfolio of responsibilities within a larger team framework, ensuring alignment across all aspects of event planning to deliver a unified and high-quality customer experience. As a member of the Event Services team, the Senior Events Planner will lead specific initiatives related to hotel block management, attendee registration, transportation logistics, and meeting room scheduling for the Orgill Dealer Market. Additionally, they will collaborate with internal teams such as Retail Services, Sales, Technology, and Marketing Communications to ensure cohesive event implementation and to balance stakeholder expectations.
Furthermore, the role includes supporting event planning and execution at the Innovation Center — handling customer tours, product showcases, and training events — along with managing the broader Orgill event portfolio to uphold the company’s values and service standards. Leadership capabilities will be essential, not only in coordinating with vendors and managing event operations, including food and beverage, travel, and registration logistics but also in supporting junior team members and ensuring everyone works smoothly together to achieve event objectives.
The Senior Events Planner will also contribute to budgeting, reporting, and using post-event analytics to drive continuous improvement in event strategies and execution. It’s a role that demands excellent communication skills, strong project management, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field, with at least 2-3 years of progressive experience in corporate event planning and large-scale event logistics. Proficiency with technology tools such as G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Asana, and event management platforms like Cvent is essential for success in this position.
Orgill offers an inclusive workplace culture and is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing all employees with a working environment free from discrimination. The Senior Events Planner position supports the company’s mission by ensuring outstanding event experiences that reinforce Orgill’s leadership in the industry and contribute lasting value to its customers and partners.
