Job Requirements
- high school diploma or ged or 2-year degree from accredited university
- 2 years experience in event management or related professional area or relevant degree without experience
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to lead meetings and coordinate teams
- proficiency in event planning software and tools
- ability to manage budgets and profitability
- excellent organizational skills
- strong communication abilities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged with 2 years experience in event management or related field
- or 2-year degree in hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration, or related major with no work experience required
- strong problem-solving skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of budgeting and revenue management
- ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
Job Duties
- prepare event documentation and coordinate with sales and property departments
- lead pre-event and post-event meetings
- solve operational challenges and develop alternative solutions
- manage customer budgets to maximize revenue
- oversee customer experiences from turnover to post-event
- manage group room blocks and meeting spaces
- up-sell products and services throughout event process
