This position specifically focuses on managing complex events, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to service and back to sales, and continually identifying ways to maximize revenue through up-selling and offering enhancements. The Event Manager is essential in guaranteeing that each event runs smoothly and that clients receive outstanding experiences from start to finish.

The position also involves leading pre- and post-event meetings, solving operational challenges, managing customer budgets, overseeing group room blocks and meeting spaces, and adhering to established standards, policies, and procedures.

Beyond routine responsibilities, this role requires proactive participation in sales and marketing strategies, including participating in site inspections and assisting in sales processes when needed. The Event Manager serves as a critical liaison between the sales personnel and customers, facilitating effective communication throughout the event lifecycle and ensuring that profitability and revenue goals are met. They also play an important role in guest relations, handling guest feedback, resolving problems and complaints, and continuously striving to enhance service performance.

Renaissance Hotels values leadership and teamwork, and the Event Manager is expected to celebrate team successes and recognize individual contributions publicly. The position supports and may act on behalf of the Director of Event Management or Director of Event Planning and Operations during their absence, underscoring the role’s importance within the event management structure.

The robust benefits program includes health care coverage, dental insurance, 401(k) plans with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plans at a discounted rate, paid time off including sick leave, life and group disability insurance, travel perks, parental leave, tuition assistance, flexible spending accounts, commuter benefits, and other wellness incentives. Marriott International remains dedicated to equal employment opportunities, emphasizing inclusion and respect for all associates without discrimination.

Joining Renaissance Hotels means becoming part of a global team committed to excellence in hospitality and delivering remarkable guest experiences.
