Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years of event management or related professional experience, or a two-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field
  • Ability to coordinate with sales and property departments
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and forecast revenue
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to support pre-event, event, and post-event activities

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two years experience in event management or related field, or two-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience managing budgets and revenue forecasting
  • Ability to lead and coordinate with multiple departments
  • Customer service orientation and ability to handle guest concerns

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
  • Handle complex events and ensure seamless turnover between sales and service teams
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling and enhancements
  • Support and act on behalf of the Director of Event Management in their absence
  • Serve as the primary contact for event planning and execution
  • Manage customer budgets, group room blocks, and meeting space
  • Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings to review needs and feedback
