Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management or related professional area or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
  • Ability to solve problems and suggest alternatives
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage budgets and client relationships
  • Willingness to lead meetings and collaborate across departments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in event management or related professional area
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex events
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and forecasting revenue
  • Leadership and team collaboration abilities

Job Duties

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments and customers
  • Ensure high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases
  • Handle primarily complex events
  • Manage seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue through upselling and event enhancements
  • Lead pre-event and post-event meetings
  • Solve operational challenges in collaboration with property staff and customers
