Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related professional area
- OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in relevant field
- 3 years experience in event management or related area
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple events
- Experience with conflict resolution
- Ability to forecast revenues and use event spaces effectively
- Knowledge of human resources and employee development practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 6 years experience in event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or related area
- OR Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major with 3 years experience in event management or related professional area
- Strong knowledge of convention and meeting industry trends
- Experience in customer service and client relations
- Ability to manage and coach a team
- Proficiency in Sales and Catering systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Manage and coordinate Convention Services activities for complex conventions and events
- Plan and develop programs, agendas, and services according to client requirements
- Communicate group specifications and event details to operational departments
- Forecast group revenues and optimize the use of event spaces
- Promote client satisfaction and ensure smooth execution of conventions
- Assist with training and development of Convention Services staff
- Host planning meetings, site inspections, and pre-convention meetings
