Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years production management experience in relevant venues
- Proficiency in audio visual operations and rigging
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within one year
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Commitment to safety and OSHA compliance
- Effective communication skills
- Professional demeanor
- Ability to manage and supervise staff
- Technical knowledge of production equipment and systems
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality business sports management production or related field preferred
- 2-4 years experience in production management in corporate meeting entertainment organization club theater arena or equivalent
- Proficiency in audio visual operations rigging and technical production systems
- Strong organizational problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office event software and venue management systems including AutoCAD and Social Tables preferred
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing event requirements
- Experience organizing production for multi venue facilities
- Excellent math skills and attention to detail
- Experience with rigging preferred
- Technical proficiency in stage lighting sound and video systems
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional presentation appearance and work ethic
- Ability to adjust schedule to coincide with event demands
- Trade skills such as electrical and rigging a plus
- Advanced understanding of network infrastructure related to audio-visual needs
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary contact for clients guiding event planning preparation and execution
- Interpret and explain contract provisions policies and procedures to clients
- Prepare cost estimates oversee billing and ensure adherence to deadlines
- Monitor event operations maintain client communication and promptly address concerns
- Organize and prioritize workload to meet event schedules
- Ensure all event details including floor plans room setups and insurance requirements are finalized
- Provide clear communication of directives to other departments for facility readiness and client success
- Act as Manager on Duty during events as required
- Advance and execute production for multiple venues and event types
- Work with live entertainment and corporate productions to advance technical audio visual rigging and logistics requirements
- Supervise booking and crew through local IATSE Union including stage setups rigging audio visual and lighting
- Manage technical systems including Q-Sys Dante Audio Networks and ETC Paradigm controls
- Operate and train staff on facilities systems including mixing consoles public address intercom video theatrical lighting and spotlights
- Oversee work schedules and payroll for events and production labor
- Manage preventive maintenance repairs service records and equipment inventories
- Coordinate budgeting purchasing and scheduling of equipment repair inspections safety checks and maintenance
- Provide monthly forecast updates to Finance and approve settlements
- Gather event production information from sound lighting directors and vendors
- Investigate and resolve technical problems and client concerns
- Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA workplace regulations relating to event production
- Lead train and supervise technical and event management personnel including part-time staff union labor and vendors
- Provide clear communication with all departments to ensure facility readiness and client satisfaction
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients staff and stakeholders
- Approve bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees and stagehands
- Supervise events and production managers technical personnel production crew and vendors as assigned
- Perform other duties as required based on operational needs
