Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in event management or hospitality
- availability for weekend and holiday shifts
- ability to work over 40 hours per week including nights and weekends
- physical ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and frequently lift 10 pounds
- capability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to operate a golf cart
- compliance with all resort policies and procedures
- legal authorization to work in the united states
Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a similar resort or hotel role preferred
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in hospitality or related field
- ability to work in a fast paced environment
- strong communication and multitasking skills
- proficiency in microsoft office applications preferred
- knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
- understanding of health department rules and liquor laws
Job Duties
- adhere to the companys service culture 4 keys to creating guests for life
- align with peregrine hospitality tbo strategy focusing on recruiting and retaining top talent
- participate in all resort meetings and trainings
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- meet with guests to understand function requirements and offer suggestions
- conduct site inspections highlighting key resort features
- provide support and guidance to the events team
- interact with outside planners and vendors for event setup
- create banquet event orders with necessary function details
- work closely with banquet teams to ensure event success
- upsell additional resort services
- respond promptly to guest complaints
- keep immediate manager informed of problems or matters
- prepare and submit reports timely
- know meeting room setups and capacities
- understand sleeping room configurations and types
- have comprehensive knowledge of resort operational departments
- use feedback from meeting planner evaluations for improvements
- maintain relationships with existing vendors and source new ones as needed
- stay current with event trends and approaches in the Napa Valley
- ensure compliance with resort policies and safety regulations
- perform additional duties as requested by management
