Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
previous experience in event management or hospitality
availability for weekend and holiday shifts
ability to work over 40 hours per week including nights and weekends
physical ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds and frequently lift 10 pounds
capability to stand and walk for extended periods
ability to operate a golf cart
compliance with all resort policies and procedures
legal authorization to work in the united states

Job Qualifications

previous experience in a similar resort or hotel role preferred
5-7 years of progressive experience in hospitality or related field
ability to work in a fast paced environment
strong communication and multitasking skills
proficiency in microsoft office applications preferred
knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques
understanding of health department rules and liquor laws

Job Duties

adhere to the companys service culture 4 keys to creating guests for life
align with peregrine hospitality tbo strategy focusing on recruiting and retaining top talent
participate in all resort meetings and trainings
maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
meet with guests to understand function requirements and offer suggestions
conduct site inspections highlighting key resort features
provide support and guidance to the events team
interact with outside planners and vendors for event setup
create banquet event orders with necessary function details
work closely with banquet teams to ensure event success
upsell additional resort services
respond promptly to guest complaints
keep immediate manager informed of problems or matters
prepare and submit reports timely
know meeting room setups and capacities
understand sleeping room configurations and types
have comprehensive knowledge of resort operational departments
use feedback from meeting planner evaluations for improvements
maintain relationships with existing vendors and source new ones as needed
stay current with event trends and approaches in the Napa Valley
ensure compliance with resort policies and safety regulations
perform additional duties as requested by management
