The Senior Event Planner role at BCD M&E is designed for highly skilled professionals to lead complex, high-profile events from inception through execution and evaluation. Located in Beaverton, Oregon, this in-person position requires a minimum presence of four days per week at the client\'s headquarters, aligning with standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The Senior Event Planner is entrusted with end-to-end event management responsibilities, such as developing detailed plans, managing budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring flawless execution of event logistics including catering, AV, and production. This role entails significant problem-solving and proactive management to meet and exceed client expectations, acting as the primary on-site contact during events and resolving issues in real time. Additionally, the position includes critical administrative support for the event planning team, mentoring junior planners, and driving continuous improvements through rigorous post-event evaluation and data management.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and project specifics. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event planning with large-scale, complex events
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and proactive approach
  • Availability to work on-site in Beaverton, Oregon at least four days per week
  • Willingness to work standard hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in event planning with experience managing large-scale, high-complexity events

Job Duties

  • Lead planning for high-complexity events, ensuring alignment with client vision and standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with catering, production, AV, and logistics teams to create seamless event experiences
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, addressing potential challenges early
  • Oversee event setup and logistics, maintaining communication with stakeholders for smooth operations
  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, handling unexpected challenges and making necessary adjustments
  • Ensure flawless execution of all event aspects, including audio-visual and catering services
  • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations and reporting to inform future improvements
  • Support the event planning team with administrative duties, including meeting assignments and progress tracking
  • Mentor junior event planners, providing guidance and sharing best practices
