The Senior Event Planner role at BCD M&E is a pivotal position responsible for managing complex, large-scale events from initial planning stages through execution and post-event evaluation. This role requires advanced skills in project management, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving. The chosen candidate will lead the development of comprehensive event plans, including timelines and budgets, while supervising logistics and onsite operations to ensure flawless execution. As a Senior Event Planner, you will act as a central point of contact during events, managing unexpected challenges and making real-time adjustments to meet client expectations. The role also involves supporting and mentoring junior planners, enhancing the team’s efficiency and knowledge.

This position demands a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic and fast-paced environments. The job is based primarily on-site at the client’s headquarters, requiring presence at least four days a week, with standard working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. BCD M&E offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 in applicable US jurisdictions, with compensation reflecting the candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, hospitality, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in event planning with a focus on large-scale, high-complexity events
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site at the client's headquarters at least four days per week
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • Detail-oriented and proactive mindset
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities and problem-solve under pressure

Job Duties

  • Lead planning for high-complexity events, ensuring all elements align with the client's vision and standards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as catering, production, AV, and setup & logistics to create seamless event experiences
  • Develop comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets, identifying and addressing potential challenges early in the process
  • Oversee event setup and logistics, maintaining close communication with all stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact on-site, handling unexpected challenges and making adjustments as needed to meet client expectations
  • Ensure that all aspects of the event-from audio-visual needs to catering services-are executed flawlessly
  • Conduct thorough post-event evaluations, including data entry and reporting for accurate record-keeping and insights
  • Identify and implement improvements for future events, focusing on operational efficiency and client satisfaction
  • Support the event planning team with administrative duties, such as meeting assignments and tracking team progress
  • Mentor junior event planners, sharing best practices and providing guidance for complex event scenarios
