The Senior Event Planner role at BCD M&E is pivotal in managing and executing high-complexity events from inception through to close-out. This position requires an individual who excels in detailed event planning, cross-functional collaboration, and advanced problem-solving. As a Senior Event Planner, you will lead every aspect of event preparation including budget management, timeline creation, logistical coordination, and execution, ensuring every event reflects the client’s vision and meets their expectations. You will function as the primary onsite contact, adept at resolving unforeseen issues and maintaining seamless communication across all involved teams such as catering, production, audiovisual, and setup logistics. Additionally, post-event data management, evaluation, and reporting are crucial functions to ensure continual improvement and operational efficiency. This role also involves mentoring junior planners and supporting administrative tasks within the event planning team. The ideal candidate brings 5 to 7 years of experience managing large-scale, complex events alongside a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Event Management, Hospitality, or related fields.
This position is in-person, with an expectation to be onsite a minimum of four days per week, working standard business hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday to Friday. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in event management hospitality or related field or equivalent professional experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years experience in event planning managing large-scale high-complexity events

Job Duties
- Lead planning for high-complexity events ensuring alignment with client vision and standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with catering production AV and logistics teams to create seamless events
- Develop comprehensive event plans timelines and budgets identifying and addressing challenges early
- Oversee event setup and logistics maintaining communication with stakeholders for smooth operations
- Serve as primary on-site contact handling challenges and adjustments to meet client expectations
- Ensure flawless execution of all event aspects including audiovisual and catering services
- Conduct post-event evaluations with data entry and reporting to improve future event operations
- Support event planning team with administrative duties and track team progress
- Mentor junior event planners providing guidance and sharing best practices
