Job Description

Conrad Orlando is a luxurious resort nestled within the expansive 1,100-acre Evermore Orlando Resort, adjacent to the iconic Walt Disney World. This lavish destination is designed with inspiration from nature and a spirit of adventure, offering guests a tranquil yet vibrant environment. The resort boasts 433 elegantly appointed rooms, including 51 sophisticated suites and 10 spacious family suites, providing magnificent accommodations for all types of travelers. With 65,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, Conrad Orlando caters to a wide range of events and gatherings, from intimate meetings to grand celebrations. Beyond meetings, the resort features a serene spa, two championship 18-hole golf courses, and six diverse food and beverage outlets. These outlets include three distinct restaurants—one rooftop venue, a southern Italian eatery, and a poolside dining option—along with a cocktail bar, a marketplace, and in-room dining services, all exemplifying the resort's commitment to exceptional culinary experiences. This role is a full-time Senior Event Manager position that invites professionals to contribute to the legacy of one of the most celebrated hotel openings of 2024.

As a Senior Event Manager at Conrad Orlando, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating sophisticated and memorable events. This position requires managing event documentation and coordinating efforts between the sales team, various hotel departments, and clients to ensure seamless service throughout the entire event lifecycle—from pre-event planning, execution, to post-event wrap-up. Handling primarily complex events, you will oversee and improve the turnover process from sales to service and back to sales, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage. Your ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue through upselling and offering event enhancements will be essential. Serving as the main point of contact for event planners once an event is turned over to the property, you will ensure a flawless guest experience while potentially supporting or acting on behalf of the Director of Catering and Events.

Key responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing duties through detailed plans and goals, maintaining timely communication using various methods, and building strong client relationships to meet and exceed expectations. Proficiency in relevant job systems, products, and processes is expected, along with conflict resolution, complaint handling, and negotiation skills. Effective selling and influencing abilities are necessary, as is decisive problem-solving based on thorough issue analysis. You will champion high-quality service by supporting and guiding team members and participating in customer site inspections and sales activities when required. This role demands regular attendance and commitment to service excellence.
