The position offered is a full-time Senior Event Executive role focused on luxury automotive client partnerships, particularly within the golf and tennis sports sponsorship space. This position offers a salary of $50,000 and is overtime-eligible, backed by a comprehensive benefits package. The role supports Octagon’s presence across several office locations, including Stamford, CT; New York, NY; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; and Atlanta, GA, with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days per week in-office. Remote-only applicants are not considered for this role.

The Senior Event Executive will play an instrumental role in planning and executing high-end event and experiential marketing programs for a luxury automotive client. This position supports premium hospitality experiences connected with the client’s golf and tennis sponsorships, including overseeing the client’s title sponsorship of a PGA TOUR event, and strategic partnerships with various other golf entities. Working collaboratively with the Hospitality Manager, Golf Experiential Director, and Tennis Experiential Director, this role aims to position the client’s brand as best-in-class by curating exclusive and memorable experiences for consumers and internal stakeholders. The role demands strong organizational capabilities, impeccable attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to manage guest-facing interactions successfully. Key responsibilities include managing guest lists, transportation logistics, ticketing, and food and beverage service. The candidate will also be involved in gifting programs and maintaining a pulse on industry trends to provide recommendations. Additionally, the Senior Event Executive will contribute to project deliverables, support event activations, and act as a reliable agency contact for internal and external partners. This position provides a unique opportunity to grow a network within the professional sports hospitality world, particularly in golf and tennis, and to work on diverse experiential marketing projects that combine creativity with operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2-4 years of sports marketing or hospitality experience

Job Duties

  • assist with premium guest hospitality operations including managing guest lists transportation plans guest itineraries ticketing food and beverage service and transportation
  • manage gifting recommendations ordering and fulfilment across all hospitality programs and keep a pulse on industry trends
  • support the development of deliverables and guest communications
  • support planning and execution of activations related to the client's golf and tennis sponsorships
  • use problem solving skills to address client challenges with impactful solutions
  • support weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external constituents
  • serve as a trusted and reliable agency contact for clients internal colleagues and brand partners
  • supervise temporary staff and trainee positions if applicable
