With a strong emphasis on creativity, client satisfaction, and seamless execution, the company has established itself as a leader in hosting a wide variety of events, ranging from intimate corporate meetings to large-scale public functions. As part of their continued expansion and dedication to offering unparalleled event experiences, they are seeking a Senior Event Coordinator to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a highly organized and creative professional passionate about event planning and execution, and eager to contribute to the company’s ongoing success.

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with exceptional planning skills and the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and management of events, overseeing every aspect from initial concept development to post-event analysis. This includes budget management, strategic vendor negotiations, timeline creation, and effective on-site supervision to ensure flawless execution. Collaboration with clients to deeply understand their vision and objectives is fundamental, allowing the coordinator to translate these into meaningful experiences that exceed expectations. The role demands proactive problem-solving, strong communication, and outstanding interpersonal skills to maintain a high level of client satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle.

Additionally, the Senior Event Coordinator will be responsible for developing creative event themes and concepts that resonate with clients and attendees. This includes sourcing and managing relationships with venues, caterers, entertainment providers, and other key suppliers to ensure every detail aligns perfectly with the event goals. Detailed scheduling, floor plan creation, logistical coordination for audio-visual needs, décor, and staffing will also fall under this position's purview. Beyond the setup and execution, the role involves overseeing the breakdown process to maintain operational efficiency and continuous improvement. Budget oversight with a focus on maximizing profitability without compromising quality is another critical function. Client communication and feedback management are integral to refining service offerings and ensuring repeat business. Post-event reporting and analysis provide valuable insights to enhance future events and contribute to the group’s strategic initiatives.

This is a hybrid position based in the Minneapolis office, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. The role may require working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the demands of the event schedules. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of progressive experience in event planning, preferably within the hospitality or agency sectors, and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
