Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business or transportation related field
- Minimum ten years progressively responsible transit experience
- Minimum five years managerial or administrative experience involving labor relations and personnel assignment
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with labor contracts BLET, UTU-SMART and TCU preferred
- Knowledge of NORAC operating rules and SEPTA special instructions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Valid driver's license
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a business or transportation related field
- Ten years progressively responsible transit experience including five years in managerial or administrative capacity involving labor relations and assignment of work for both hourly and managerial personnel
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills including ability to work with senior managers, the public and public agencies
- Knowledge of BLET, UTU-SMART and TCU labor contracts and work rules preferred
- Familiarity with NORAC operating rules and SEPTA special instructions
- Proficiency with personal computers and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organization, coordination and team management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to lead a large staff with clear and focused direction
- Valid driver's license
Job Duties
- Oversees staffing development for all scheduled RRD revenue train service including staffing projections, training, payroll and crew dispatching
- Oversees operation of Center City and outlying field station operations including staffing, facility management, third party contract management and customer service communication
- Ensures effective customer focused communications at all Railroad stations and customer facilities including information related to construction and maintenance projects impacting customer service
- Coordinates and interfaces with various departments and external agencies on customer communication regarding service and schedule changes
- Ensures safety, cleanliness and state of good repair of all Center City Railroad passenger stations and coordinates repair projects with other SEPTA departments and outside agencies
- Develops goals, rules and programs to improve safety, quality, productivity and efficiency of railroad service to increase customer satisfaction
- Monitors and reports employee performance and railroad service related to customer complaints and commendations
