Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a venue or high-volume customer service industry
  • Ability to work irregular schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with business writing emphasis
  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with CAD preferred
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee workflow and processes for the event operations department
  • Ensure compliance with all laws, codes, ordinances, policies, and emergency procedures
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve event operational problems and complaints
  • Prepare cost estimates for events and monitor final billing
  • Work with departments to ensure event costs remain under budget
  • Delegate event coordination responsibilities and communicate assignments
  • Work across departments to improve efficiency by combining resources
  • Assist with internal and external meetings and events coordination
  • Lead production and operations meetings weekly
  • Create and manage the event operations yearly budget
  • Serve as primary liaison between Fiserv Forum and I.A.T.S.E. Local 18
  • Collaborate with I.A.T.S.E. Local 18 on contract compliance and payroll
  • Manage standard operating procedures for new hires
  • Review scheduled events and troubleshoot conflicts with direct reports
  • Act as Manager on Duty for assigned events
  • Update and enforce department standard operating procedures
  • Oversee event calendar and manage internal events
  • Perform other duties as assigned
