Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, culinary arts, hospitality management or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of managing dining and catering services for an educational institution
- Experience with student and full-time employee labor relations including laws and policies
- Experience managing employees including Union staff and bargaining agreements
- Customer service orientation with hospitality focus
- Ability to work as part of a team and prioritize tasks flexibly
- Strong communication and interpersonal interaction skills
- Ability to make decisions quickly and remain calm under stress
- Availability and willingness to work long hours, weekends, evenings, and emergency operations role

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Lead direct and indirect reports to ensure performance of duties and quality customer service
- Visit and walk through all dining locations daily to interact with customers and contractors
- Visit and walk through other business operations as needed to interact with customers and assess overall success
- Incorporate best practices in sustainability in coordination with Office of Sustainability
- Serve on university-wide committees and task forces, supervising the Operations and Logistics Manager
- Oversee managed print operations, recruit, supervise, evaluate and manage diverse workforce
- Develop staff career paths, improve performance, and innovate processes
- Develop strategies to improve technology, enhance customer service, and delivery systems
- Support campus operations including summer planning, NSO coordination, and emergency management meetings
- Manage customer experience throughout the day
- Work with contracted service providers to collect VOC data and analytics
- Develop SLAs and KPIs for each vendor agreement and measure performance
- Solicit candid customer feedback for continuous improvement
- Seek feedback from students, committees, faculty, staff, and stakeholders to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue
- Ensure quality customer service for all auxiliary services
- Review contracts continuously to ensure compliance
- Oversee construction projects and liaise with Planning and Facilities Management
- Obtain and catalog all annual compliance documents
- Support vendor relationships and facilitate smooth operations
- Manage vendor and university connections to support mission and goals
- Oversee equipment inventory and asset tracking
- Coordinate and manage compliance with university policies for vendors
- Investigate beneficial revenue-generating arrangements
- Support research on service industries for growth opportunities
- Plan creatively to meet campus community service needs
- Manage off-campus business relationships for GOCard Campus Cash program
- Interact daily with students, faculty, staff, vendors to resolve issues and improve services
