Job Description

Aramark Sports & Entertainment is a premier provider of food services and hospitality management, serving large sports venues, entertainment facilities, and cultural institutions across the United States. With a commitment to delivering exceptional service and innovative dining experiences, Aramark supports a diverse range of clients including professional sports teams, stadiums, arenas, and concert venues. The company prides itself on its ability to create memorable events through quality catering, venue management, and event planning services, maintaining leadership in the food and hospitality industry. Aramark’s operations at iconic venues like Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts – one of the most revered baseball stadiums in the world – highlights its dedication to excellence and community engagement within the sports and entertainment sector.

The Senior Director of Catering & Special Events at Fenway Park plays a critical leadership role responsible for planning, managing, and executing full-scale catering operations across multiple units within the venue. This position involves directing the entire catering team, overseeing the planning and completion of catering orders, and managing special events to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. The role requires strong financial acumen as the Senior Director will manage departmental budgets and set financial goals to optimize profitability. With a salaried compensation range of $90,000 to $125,000, this leadership role offers an opportunity to influence and shape catering experiences at a major sports and entertainment landmark.

The role encompasses diverse responsibilities such as coordinating all catering operations including event booking, menu selection, pricing strategies, hiring, and administration. The Senior Director is also tasked with developing innovative catering solutions tailored to client needs, maintaining client relationships, and driving comprehensive marketing strategies to grow the catering business. Establishing service and presentation standards, implementing compliance processes, and introducing new services to support business growth are key elements of this position. Staying ahead of industry trends, advising clients and staff on new developments, and ensuring seamless delivery of banquet event orders reflect the dynamic nature of this leadership role.

Furthermore, the Senior Director actively participates in sales and contract negotiations, assists clients with special event planning, and leads training initiatives for the catering team to uphold high standards. The responsibility extends to achieving sales, food, and labor targets, managing the execution of catering events of varying sizes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting of catering revenues, expenses, and receivables. Compliance with food safety, occupational health, and environmental standards is paramount, making this role integral to the overall success and reputation of Aramark’s catering operations at Fenway Park.

Aramark’s commitment to its employees and clients is reflected in its comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision coverage, work/life resources, retirement savings plans such as 401(k), paid days off including parental leave, and disability coverage. These benefits vary by location and employee eligibility but underscore Aramark’s dedication to fostering a supportive, inclusive work environment. The Senior Director of Catering & Special Events position at Fenway Park offers a unique career opportunity to lead a high-profile and fast-paced catering operation within a globally recognized venue, combining strategic oversight, client engagement, and operational excellence.
