We are currently hiring for a full-time Senior Cook position at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. This role is scheduled Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with some weekends required. The pay rate for this position is $16.00 per hour. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing nutritious and properly flavored food items according to established recipes and standards. The Senior Cook will be responsible for adhering to federal, state, and local health regulations, ensuring safety and quality through compliance with HACCP guidelines and departmental procedures. This role may involve supervising food service associates as delegated by the Food Service Director, assisting with cross-training employees, and maintaining organized food storage in compliance with company policies. The Senior Cook also supports the Food Service Director by keeping accurate production records and completing necessary documentation.
