Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience as a cook
- Knowledge of HACCP food safety guidelines
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to handle stressful work conditions
- Physical ability to perform bending, stooping, climbing, lifting and standing as required
- Willingness to follow standard recipes and production guidelines
- Flexibility to work day shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience as a cook
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation protocols
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Experience with menu development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Job Duties
- Assist with the development of menus for patients, physicians, cafeteria and catering services
- Adhere to all applicable HACCP guidelines regarding requisition, storage, handling and preparation of food
- Oversee scheduled meal preparation, presentation and timely execution to ensure quality, safety and service of the planned menu
- Follow, monitor and ensure accountability of standardized recipes in preparation of all food
- Complete required production records
- Review menu and special orders to determine types and quantities of food items to be prepared
- Communicate to departmental leadership any shortages or concerns
- Assist departmental leadership with staff scheduling, problem solving, interviewing and evaluations
