The Senior Cook position at SodexoMagic is a full-time role based at Stillman College, offering a pay range of $14.86 to $20.00 per hour. The schedules for this role are flexible and vary, requiring open availability that accommodates differing shifts and hours with specific details to be discussed during the interview process. The Senior Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of nutritious dishes for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. This role demands adherence to complex recipes and the execution of both classical and contemporary cooking techniques, ensuring that every dish meets high standards of taste and presentation.

Beyond food preparation, the Senior Cook may take on a leadership role by overseeing production staff, training new team members, and assigning daily tasks to maintain efficient kitchen operations. Job Requirements

  • Valid food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Follow complex recipes and/or product directions
  • Produce small to large batch goods using advanced and full range of classical and contemporary cooking, plating, and garnishing techniques
  • May oversee production staff, train, and assign tasks
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
