Job Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree preferably in Hospital Management, Aviation Management, Business or related fields
- three years of experience in a customer service environment
- one year of experience assisting passengers in an airport environment
- valid Class C Texas driver's license and compliance with City of Houston's driving policy
- ability to pass a criminal background check
- obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances
- must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and walk long distances on rough surfaces
- availability to work shift schedules including weekends, holidays and rotations
- ability to comply with departmental policies and regulatory guidelines
- must pass pre-employment drug test and physical examination
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferably in hospital management, aviation management, business or related fields
- three years of experience in a customer service environment
- one year of experience assisting passengers in an airport environment
- valid Class C Texas driver’s license
- ability to read, write, speak and translate English and foreign languages preferred
- strong communication and analytical skills
- operational experience in an airport environment preferred
- passion for customer service
- ability to identify operational deficiencies and provide creative solutions
- ability to communicate effectively and maintain cooperative relationships
Job Duties
- Provides mentoring and coaching to team members to meet organizational goals
- oversight of common use areas and quantity assurance inspections of the terminal facilities and identifies and anticipates operational concerns and initiates corrective action
- inspect, report and schedule facility irregularities to ensure opening day fresh
- provide support roles to airport stakeholders during times of irregular airport operations including flight diversions, conveyance systems failures, passenger crowd control and other emergency situations
- provide support for special events, facilitation and escorts of dignitaries, heads of state, and other VIPs from passenger curb to departure gate
- responsible for all aspects of the customer experience, seeking win-win solutions and corrective actions to ensure the airport is five-star quality
- observe and report tenant and airline activities to ensure compliance with airport leases, contracts, standards and policies
- meet and communicate with airline, tenant and airport personnel and resolve problems with airport customers and tenants
- promote collaboration and value passenger, business partner and team member input to improve the passenger experience
- responsible for information booth coverage and lost and found functions to ensure five-star customer service
- promote a safe, secure and healthy environment through the Safety Management System program
- comply with departmental policies, procedures and enforce regulatory compliance
- contribute to the team effort by performing other related duties as needed
