Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Capability to operate point-of-sale and handheld technology
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments and customer needs
- Physical ability to perform job duties including stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of direct retail experience preferred
- Effective communication skills with customers and colleagues
- Ability to provide clear direction and feedback
- Adaptability to changing customer expectations and priorities
- Resourcefulness in meeting deadlines and business needs
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Fulfill customer orders, merchandising, processing new products, or supervising the selling floor in delivering exceptional customer service
- Lead colleagues in the execution and completion of assigned tasks
- Role model and provide fast feedback to improve the customer experience
- Ensure high-level customer service through problem-solving and customer-focused resolutions
- Promote Macy's mobile app to enhance the in-store customer experience
- Meet with People Leaders throughout the day to plan and monitor store activities
- Provide continuous feedback to People Leaders to improve customer experience and store processes
- Perform store opening and closing procedures including alarm access and settling registers
- Lead adherence to merchandise standards
- Educate colleagues on point-of-sale technology and order fulfillment applications
- Foster an environment of acceptance and respect among colleagues and customers
