Job Requirements
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have previous experience in retail or customer service
- Able to operate front-end equipment such as registers and scanners
- Be dependable and flexible to work changing schedules including nights weekends and holidays
- Possess good communication skills and ability to work on a team
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and moving carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- Demonstrate attention to detail and cash handling proficiency
Job Qualifications
- Be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in retail customer service or sales environment with 1-2 years cashier experience preferred
- Have a positive attitude and ability to positively interact with customers
- Be able to operate front-end equipment including register calculator and scanner
- Be dependable and reliable with flexibility to work nights weekends and holidays
- Have good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Able to lift and carry products up to 30 lbs and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs of force
- Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with cash handling and mathematical skills
Job Duties
- Oversee self-checkout units ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt service
- Assist customers with scanning weighing bagging and payment processes
- Serve multiple customers simultaneously anticipating potential issues
- Answer customer questions and resolve scanning weighing and payment issues
- Monitor scanning accuracy
- Invite customers to use self-checkout lanes especially during busy periods
- Maintain clean and orderly self-checkout areas and perform related duties
- Thank customers as they leave the self-checkout area
