Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in cash handling preferred
- availability to work part-time, including weekends and holidays
- ability to work under immediate supervision
- strong attention to detail
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Ability to read and write
- ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- facility in working with figures
- ability to work compatibly around students and staff
- strong customer service skills
- basic bookkeeping skills
Job Duties
- Performs cashier duties such as handling cash payments and making change
- sets up menu boards
- assists at the cafeteria counter when needed
- obtains and manages cash boxes
- counts money and turns it in to proper personnel while receiving receipts
- enters financial data in records
- stocks cash register with change and tape
- performs bookkeeping of data like number of customers and types of food served
- fills in with other cafeteria duties as directed
