Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Computing experience
  • Excellent English grammar and spelling ability
  • Ability to handle high stress environment with pleasant attitude
  • Proficiency in use of 101 key keyboard and familiarity with PC and Apple computers and Windows operating systems
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and other office software applications
  • Ability to develop clear and comprehensive correspondence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and good judgment
  • Efficient multi-tasking and prioritization
  • Professional appearance

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Physical ability to sit for 6-8 hours, walk and climb stairs, lift up to 30 pounds, bend and reach to store/retrieve supplies

Job Duties

  • Greet guests to the Center and contact appropriate Center personnel of their arrival
  • Receive and screen calls, referring callers to other departments or employees as necessary
  • Answer a variety of questions independently and take direct action on facility related calls and questions
  • Provide callers with information such as address, directions, company numbers, website, Space Camp registration information, etc.
  • Maintain standard security protocol by following procedures, such as issuing visitor badges and monitoring the visitor logbook
  • Meet or exceed the Security Director's expectations on accuracy and timeliness of all internal/external correspondence and other forms of communication
  • Meet or exceed the expectations of the Security Director for confidentiality of information
