Job Requirements
- high school graduate required
- associates or bachelor's degree preferred
- additional training such as military or law enforcement highly desirable
- minimum one year security experience
- experience in high-volume customer service environment
- strong verbal and interpersonal communication
- ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
- ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to squat, bend, kneel, and twist
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to walk stairs and uneven terrain
- visual acuity to monitor workplace and analyze situations
- flexible to work varied shifts as business dictates
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- two years of security experience preferably in upscale hotel property
- supervision experience in security
- CPR, first aid, and AED certification
- strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- experience with MS Office applications and Outlook
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail
- commitment to guest service
- positive attitude
- adherence to hotel policies and procedures
Job Duties
- conduct routine loading dock and employee lot inspections
- ensure the area is clean and free of trash and debris
- investigate and follow up on dock cleanliness violations
- respond immediately to emergency situations
- review accident investigations and ensure accurate reporting
- conduct regular property patrols to ensure safety and security
- orient and train employees on job responsibilities and parking applications
- maintain proactive property security and provide customer support
- foster positive inter-departmental relationships
- promote security awareness and training for management and staff
- act as liaison to management and guests in absence of senior security
- meet regularly with area facilities director
- attend event precon meetings
- lead the security team and safety committee
