Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to read, write, understand and follow instructions in English
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to make quick decisions according to established protocol
- Willingness to be trained in first responder and first aid
- One year experience in security preferred
- Maintains confidentiality in accord with HIPAA and Corporate Compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Job Duties
- Makes scheduled rounds inside and outside the buildings to maintain a secure environment
- Responds to all fire alarms and apartment emergency calls
- Develops and maintains good rapport with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel to ensure security needs are met
- Assists with special security needs involving employees, visitors, and community members
- Provides written reports of any community incidents during the shift to administration
- Maintains facility entrances for safe passage and clears walkways during and after snowstorms
- Performs duties assigned by the supervisor in order of priority
