The Communications Associate position within the Security Department at California's Great America plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of both guests and staff. This role requires operating and monitoring the base radio console, which handles nine different communication frequencies. The Communications Associate is responsible for dispatching all routine and emergency communications related to police, security, and first aid or fire department calls. Additionally, the associate monitors weather radar and lightning detectors to inform appropriate units about changing weather conditions, thereby ensuring prompt and effective response to any potential safety hazards. The role demands multitasking capabilities with a high level of accuracy and efficiency, as associates frequently handle simultaneous tasks in fast-paced scenarios. Job Duties

  • Operate and monitor base radio console with nine frequencies

  • Complete detailed incident reports before end of shift
