Job Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Two years of institutional, commercial, or school district food service experience preparing and/or serving food
  • Or 30 college credit hours from an accredited institution in a related field and one year of relevant food service experience
  • Ability to provide own transportation
  • Completion of Secondary Food Service Manager training within the first year of employment
  • Current SNHD Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Current Food Protection Manager Certification such as ServSafe

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent such as GED
  • Two years of institutional, commercial, or school district food service experience preparing and/or serving food
  • Or 30 college credit hours in related fields such as hotel and restaurant management, nutrition, or dietetics with one year of relevant food service experience
  • Ability to maintain current SNHD Food Handler Safety Training Card
  • Ability to maintain current Food Protection Manager Certification such as ServSafe
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills to interact with staff and school administration

Job Duties

  • Oversee the preparation and serving of food to students and staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including food safety standards
  • Provide training and supervision to food service staff
  • Maintain required food service certifications and ensure timely training completion
  • Manage daily kitchen operations and inventory control
  • Collaborate with school administration to support food service policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records related to food service activities and compliance
