Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • minimum two years of cooking experience in food and beverage industry preferably in high-volume environments
  • ability to positively interact with others courteously and professionally

  • thorough knowledge of kitchen procedures and food safety practices
  • maintain impeccable personal hygiene

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • minimum two years of cooking experience in food and beverage industry preferably in high-volume environments

  • knowledge of kitchen set-up and tear-down procedures and food safety practices
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English

  • understanding and execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs)
  • capability to perform in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Job Duties

  • assist with food preparation and production
  • support Sous Chef with staff training on food production procedures and standards
  • store and stock food and supply deliveries according to guidelines
  • complete opening and closing duties
  • properly wash, handle, monitor, label, cut, and cook cold and hot foods in compliance with health standards
  • organize event food products and supplies
  • maintain pars levels and determine preparation and freezer pulls
  • promptly notify supervisors of out-of-stock items or shortages
  • maintain workstation and assigned area cleanliness
  • conduct bi-monthly inventories
  • clean kitchen equipment, coolers, and storage areas
  • safely operate kitchen utensils and equipment
  • assist with frying, grilling, baking, and saut�ing
  • respond to basic food and beverage inquiries
  • execute kitchen closing tasks on time
