Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of formal food service training or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of restaurant or institutional cooking experience
- Ability to operate food service equipment such as slicers, grills, steamers, and ovens
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to stand for 85%-100% of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry between 30 and 50 lbs frequently
- Availability to work scheduled hours 1pm-9:30pm on designated weekdays
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Advanced knowledge of cooking techniques and procedures equivalent to 1-2 years of formal food service training or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of additional restaurant or institutional cooking experience including volume cooking
- Mechanical abilities and a valid driver's license
- Institutional cooking experience of at least 18 months
Job Duties
- Prepare all standard dining center meals
- Prepare and cook meat, vegetables, gravy, meatballs
- Make soup, pancake batter, biscuits, etc
- Slice and trim meat, bone turkey, slice cheese and cold cuts
- Prepare proper amount of food and time cooking so that all items are ready for serving on schedule
- Observe safety and health regulations and maintain highest standards of sanitation
- Obtain ingredients and supplies from storeroom
