The role of the 2nd Cook within Warner Bros. Studio Operations is an integral position in the Food Services department, contributing directly to the hospitality experience provided to internal teams and during special events. This full-time position involves preparing, cooking, and serving food in both the Commissary and at various onsite special events. The 2nd Cook is responsible for assisting at multiple kitchen stations to maintain an efficient, clean, and sanitary workspace that meets strict health and safety standards. Reporting to the First Cook, this role requires collaboration and the ability to take directions to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Key responsibilities include proper food handling, preparation of diverse menu items, closing and cleaning work areas, and adhering to health department protocols. Ideal candidates will bring 2 to 5 years of experience working in fast-paced, high-volume banquet facilities, fine dining restaurants, or hotel/conference centers. The role demands stamina and physical endurance, including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items up to 50 pounds, and performing various repetitive kitchen duties. A valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate is mandatory to demonstrate a commitment to food safety and cleanliness. Good communication skills and flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends, holidays, and shifts extending beyond 8 hours, are essential. Warwick Bros. Job Requirements

  • Must have 2 to 5 years cooking experience in high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate is required
  • Must have good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to perform physical exertion such as standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, and maneuvering weights up to 50+ lbs
  • Must be able to work a standard shift of approximately 8 hours per day plus a 30-minute paid meal break with a minimum of 6 hours worked

Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years of cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
  • Ability to prep a grill, saute, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food for Food Services including Commissary and Special Events
  • Assist at stations in the Commissary ensuring a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace
  • Support and follow instructions from First Cooks
  • Properly close, wrap, label, and clean work areas in accordance with Food Services and health department protocols
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in all food preparation areas
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations
