Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 to 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50+ lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Must have 2 to 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant with demonstrated ability to prep a grill, sauté, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include working beyond the standard shift of approximately 8 hours per day
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, lift, carry, clean kitchen equipment, and maneuver heavy weights up to 50+ lbs

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and serve food for the Food Services department including Commissary and Special Events
  • Assist at stations in the Commissary ensuring a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace
  • Support and follow instructions from First Cooks
  • Properly close, wrap, label, and clean work areas in accordance with Food Services and health department protocols
