Job Description

SeaWorld San Antonio, a world-renowned marine zoological park and entertainment destination located in San Antonio, Texas, is seeking outgoing and enthusiastic performers for their exciting Summer season. SeaWorld San Antonio is a part of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, a leading provider of animal-themed entertainment experiences, known for its thrilling rides, shows, and animal encounters. This organization is dedicated to conservation, education, and delivering memorable experiences to guests from all over the world. As a prominent entertainment venue, SeaWorld San Antonio offers a vibrant atmosphere where performers gather to engage live audiences through dynamic shows and interactive experiences.

The roles available this season include Musicians, Dancers, Actors, and Costumed Characters, each playing a vital part in bringing the park's entertainment offerings to life. These positions are seasonal employment opportunities that allow individuals at least 16 years old to showcase their talents while contributing to the park's vibrant entertainment lineup. Auditions require specific preparations based on the role, such as musicians preparing musical pieces, dancers ready to perform choreography, actors presenting family-friendly monologues, and costumed characters engaging in movement exercises.

Selected performers will participate in scheduled shows and acts throughout the park, following detailed show notes and maintaining high standards of performance quality and appearance. Daily warm-ups and ongoing skill development are encouraged to ensure safety and enhance show excellence. Performers must maintain costume and makeup requirements, assist in general cleaning of their assigned areas, and collaborate with cast, crew, and management teams to uphold the integrity of each show. Professionalism, courteous behavior, and positive guest interaction are crucial aspects of the roles.

Candidates must display flexibility in scheduling, as rehearsals and performances may occur during evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical stamina is essential since performers will be working outdoors for extended periods, often in diverse weather conditions. The roles demand a positive attitude, multitasking skills, and a strong commitment to guest service. SeaWorld San Antonio emphasizes safe work practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company training and certification requirements.

To audition, candidates must be at least 16 years of age and complete a mandatory release form, with minors requiring parental consent. The audition process is a chance to demonstrate skill and personality, with specific performance requirements tailored to each role type. SeaWorld San Antonio prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace by adhering to equal employment opportunity principles, welcoming applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds without discrimination.
