The property also includes a newly built hotel with 300 luxurious rooms and suites, making it a top choice for entertainment and accommodation in the region. Delaware North is a family-owned company with over 100 years of history, operating on a global scale and offering career growth opportunities in various domains such as hospitality, gaming, operations, and retail. As an equal opportunity employer, Delaware North embraces diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds without discrimination.

This job opportunity is for both full-time and part-time Cook positions within the Southland Casino's culinary team. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring that guests receive high-quality meals that meet established standards. The position requires attentiveness to detail in following recipes, proper food preparation techniques, and adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Working in close coordination with the serving team and management, the Cook supports efficient kitchen workflows and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. The role is based in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. There is no prior experience or diploma required, making this an ideal role for individuals passionate about cooking and eager to start or advance their careers in the culinary field.

The Cook position offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $15.00 to $16.00, reflecting the company's investment in quality talent. Delaware North also provides a comprehensive benefits package aimed at supporting employee well-being. Benefits include weekly pay, training and development programs, employee discounts, and flexible work schedules. Eligible team members may receive health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) plans with company match; paid vacation and holidays; paid parental bonding leave; employee assistance programs; and assistance with tuition or professional certification fees.

The position demands physical stamina to manage long periods of standing, lifting items up to and beyond 20 pounds, and working under varying temperature conditions typical of a kitchen environment. Shifts vary widely, including day, evening, overnight, split shift, weekends, holidays, and the possibility of overtime hours, providing scheduling flexibility to meet various lifestyle needs. This role is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy culinary arts, thrive in team-oriented settings, and seek a rewarding hospitality career at a well-established global company.
