Job Duties
- Greet visitors in warm friendly manner
- seat customers in an even rotation
- maintain a café wait list
- answer general information questions
- answer café phone and field calls to necessary personnel
- assist in bussing duties
- maintain café bathrooms
- maintain clean work area and equipment
- assist servers and/or front of the house lead when necessary
- properly take customer to-go orders and enter into POS system
- deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately
- act as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
- communicate food orders to chefs and pay attention to priorities and special requests
- assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
- ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards
- check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
- remove dirty dishes and utensils
- answer guests' questions about ingredients and menu items
- inform restaurant staff about customers' feedback or requests
- make sure all plates are set up properly with correct sauces and garnishes
- perform end of day clean up duties
- learn as much beer knowledge as possible
- keep all stations adequately stocked
- take pride in every single job you do
