Job Description
Total Wine & More is a leading specialty retailer of fine wine, spirits, and beer, dedicated to providing its customers with an exceptional shopping experience across various locations, including Philadelphia, PA. Known for its broad selection and knowledgeable staff, Total Wine & More has established itself as a top destination for beverage enthusiasts and casual shoppers alike. The company prides itself on offering quality products, competitive pricing, and expert advice, making it a trusted name in the retail alcohol industry. Total Wine & More operates numerous stores nationwide and is continuously expanding its team to meet growing customer demands and market opportunities.
The Seasonal Stocking / Fulfillment Associate role in Philadelphia, PA, offers a unique opportunity to join the Total Wine & More team on a flexible, part-time contract basis. This position is ideal for individuals seeking temporary employment — typically no longer than six months — with the chance to apply for permanent roles thereafter. The role focuses primarily on merchandising responsibilities, although duties may vary and include sales and front-end tasks as business needs arise. Reporting directly to the store management team, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting the store’s inventory management and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers.
In this role, associates are responsible for maximizing product inventory by processing freight, organizing stock, pulling and replenishing merchandise, and creating compelling in-store displays and signage. A crucial aspect of the position is supporting online business operations, which include fulfilling orders, assisting with in-store and curbside pickup services, and potentially driving deliveries, following all traffic and safety regulations. The associate will deliver exceptional customer service, actively engaging with customers to provide product information and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Training on wine, spirits, and beer is provided to ensure team members maintain a strong product knowledge base and can contribute meaningfully to the customer experience.
Total Wine & More also emphasizes the importance of store safety and compliance. The associate will be expected to uphold cleanliness standards, adhere strictly to laws and regulations pertaining to the sale of alcohol, and contribute to maintaining a safe environment for customers and staff members alike. This role requires physical stamina, as it involves standing and walking for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and working in various weather conditions when necessary. The company values a flexible schedule and is especially looking for candidates comfortable with working evenings and weekends.
Working at Total Wine & More means joining a team that values its employees and invests in their growth and well-being. The company offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program featuring access to health benefits, paid time off, store discounts, retirement plans, and educational assistance. Employees are supported throughout their careers, with the company fostering an inclusive and supportive workplace culture. With competitive compensation and a commitment to equal opportunity employment, Total Wine & More in Philadelphia offers a promising start or continuation to your career in retail and fulfillment, set within a dynamic and customer-focused environment.
