The role of Service Assistant at Barrel & Bushel is critical in supporting the front-of-house team, including Servers, Bartenders, and Hosts. A Service Assistant’s duties include following current health and safety protocols to uphold cleanliness and hygiene standards, especially abiding by Virginia Health Department recommendations on sanitizing and disinfecting. They are responsible for bussing and cleaning tables, polishing and rolling silverware, stocking glassware and dry goods, handling trash and recycling, and conducting regular floor sweeps. Additionally, the role includes running food to guests, which requires attentiveness and a team-oriented mindset.
