Job Requirements
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and team members
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety procedures
- Meet daily sales goals and maintain focus under busy conditions
- Ability to operate cash registers and handheld technology
- Physical capability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and perform lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Basic comfort with technology and handling electronic devices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Job Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage in personal conversations to build relationships
- Understand and meet daily sales goals through effective selling techniques
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor environment
- Merchandise new arrivals and handle damaged or returned items appropriately
- Share Macy's Loyalty program benefits and sincerely thank customers to complete sales
- Collaborate with team members to support a positive and productive work environment
- Continuously learn about new products, trends, and promotions to enhance customer service
