Job Description
HHM Hotels is a distinguished hospitality management company renowned for operating a variety of upscale hotels and resorts across the United States. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, HHM Hotels focuses on embedding quality, sustainability, and outstanding customer service into every facet of its operations. The company is centered on cultivating an engaging, supportive, and dynamic workplace culture that empowers associates to grow both personally and professionally. The brand values—People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It—highlight the company’s dedication to excellence and its foundational belief in the power of talented, motivated individuals to drive success.
The Seasonal Restaurant Server position at HHM Hotels is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals looking to contribute to the food and beverage service within a distinguished hospitality setting. This role is seasonal, designed to meet the higher demand periods within the year while offering valuable hands-on experience in guest service within a well-established hotel environment. As a Seasonal Restaurant Server, you will play a critical role in delivering courteous and friendly service to guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and meets the company’s stringent service and sustainability standards.
The primary functions of the Seasonal Restaurant Server include taking food and beverage orders and accurately inputting them into the point of service system, assisting in setting and clearing tables, and managing stock levels for service stations with items such as ice, napkins, and straws. Maintaining guest satisfaction is paramount in this role, as you will be the face of the company during guests’ dining experiences. Additional duties may include picking up orders from the food preparation areas, preparing guest checks, processing payment transactions, and occasionally stepping into roles such as bartending or bussing during peak periods or staffing shortages. This variety offers valuable cross-training and growth potential within the food and beverage department.
In addition to providing exemplary service, the position requires adherence to safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards, reinforcing HHM Hotels’ commitment to a safe and healthy work environment. The role offers a clear path for career advancement, potentially leading to positions such as Restaurant Supervisor, Banquet Server, Captain, Restaurant Manager, and Banquet Manager. As a Seasonal Restaurant Server, you will be contributing to the overall guest satisfaction scores, helping the department and hotel achieve their goals in delivering excellence.
HHM Hotels values its team members greatly and recognizes their contribution through a competitive compensation package that may include full-time and part-time opportunities. The hotel provides comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401k company match program. Additional perks such as free basic life insurance, travel discounts, commuter transit and parking benefits, employee assistance and wellness initiatives, opportunities for professional and educational development, and a referral bonus program further enrich the employee experience. Working schedules are varied and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts, which requires flexibility and dedication. The job also demands physical stamina due to the standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, and reaching involved in daily tasks.
This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in fast-paced environments and possess a passion for hospitality. The Seasonal Restaurant Server position is a vital entry point within the HHM Hotels hospitality team, offering a vibrant workplace, competitive benefits, and a clear route for advancement toward management roles. Joining HHM Hotels means being part of a company that truly believes in its people and strives to achieve excellence in every guest interaction.
