The role of Seasonal Porter/Groundkeeper at Liberty Military Housing is critical in maintaining the appearance and safety of the multifamily residential communities. The Seasonal Porter/Groundkeeper is responsible for routine cleaning, grounds upkeep, and assisting with various maintenance tasks to ensure the community remains welcoming and well-maintained. This includes the operation of various tools and equipment to perform these duties safely and efficiently.

Working as a Seasonal Porter/Groundkeeper involves a variety of tasks such as cleaning building exteriors, amenities, district offices, pools, and recreation areas, as well as removing trash from the community and vacant units. The role occasionally requires physical labor such as snow shoveling, removing abandoned furniture and appliances, and light maintenance work including touch-up painting and minor repairs. Strong communication skills are important in this role to effectively interact with co-workers, managers, vendors, and residents, ensuring that work is done efficiently and safely.

Liberty Military Housing values safety and compliance with OSHA regulations, along with local laws governing health and safety. The position requires adherence to safe work practices including the use of personal protective equipment, lockout/tag-out procedures, confined space entry techniques, and ladder safety. This is a seasonal, hourly position offering a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour. The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate motor vehicles, company or personal, as well as electrical carts. Physical demands include lifting up to 65 pounds, extensive walking and standing, climbing stairs and ladders, and working in all weather conditions and environments that may include exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, loud noises, and unpleasant odors.
