The Seasonal Pool Bartender role at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village offers a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, professional team providing exceptional hospitality in a vibrant poolside setting. This seasonal position is ideal for individuals passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through expert beverage preparation, attentive service, and maintaining an inviting and well-stocked bar environment. The successful candidate will be adept at crafting a variety of wines, spirits, and cocktails according to the highest Four Seasons standards. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to hospitality excellence.

This part-time seasonal position is set to begin in March and April for the summer season, with work scheduled 3-4 days a week, including weekends and holidays. While this is a temporary role, there is potential for long-term employment based on individual performance and business needs. The hourly rate for this role starts at $19.52. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a bartender in a luxury food and beverage outlet
  • Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
  • Strong communication skills with co-workers and guests
  • Legal work authorization in the United States

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and Four Seasons standards
  • Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system
  • Check completed orders with the guest’s original order
  • Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering vivid descriptions of each item’s origin, taste, and preparation methods
  • Maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks, process cash and credit card payments, settle voided checks or complimentary items
