Job Description

Midtown is a premier lifestyle and wellness club renowned for its vibrant approach to fitness, racquet sports, spa services, and dining experiences. Known for delivering exceptional service and a welcoming environment, Midtown caters to a diverse and dynamic membership base seeking comprehensive wellness and leisure amenities. The organization prides itself on fostering a culture where collaboration, innovation, and passion for service are core values. Midtown constantly strives to offer not just outstanding facilities, but also memorable experiences that combine health, relaxation, and social engagement. The dining section of Midtown is integral to this ethos, providing members with clean, convenient, and delicious food options that complement the club's overall wellness mission.

Midtown is currently seeking talented Seasonal Pizza Line Cooks for a seasonal contract lasting from May 1 to September 30. This role is critical to enhancing the exceptional dining experience Midtown promises its members during the busy summer months. The position requires working 28 to 40 hours per week, typically spanning 3 to 5 shifts, with mandatory availability on weekends and holidays. As part of the Food and Beverage (F&B) team, line cooks at Midtown are the creative heart of the kitchen. They not only prepare food but do so with artistry and care, ensuring meals are not only delicious but also presented beautifully. Maintaining a safe and sanitary workspace is paramount, as Midtown is committed to upholding the highest standards of health and safety according to Department of Health guidelines.

Joining Midtown means becoming part of a supportive and tightly-knit team where collaboration is more than just a buzzword. The environment encourages cross-training and learning opportunities across various facets of the club, including fitness, racquet sports, and spa services. Working at Midtown offers more than just a job; it provides a unique chance to expand knowledge and skills within a multifaceted wellness organization. Seasonal Line Cooks quickly develop expertise in food preparation, recipe adherence, and kitchen sanitation while contributing to catering events and daily prep work.

This job appeals to energetic individuals passionate about delivering outstanding meals and who thrive in a fast-paced setting. Midtown values team members who bring kindness, optimism, pride, and a willingness to accept and apply constructive feedback. The team respects professionalism demonstrated through excellent references and a sincere desire to help others. Bonus qualifications such as two or more years of cooking experience, ServSafe certifications, and natural teamwork abilities are highly regarded but not mandatory, as Midtown considers transferable skills and education.

The compensation for this role ranges from $20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. Midtown provides a competitive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) retirement savings, dining discounts, and a wellness program. Midtown is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing an inclusive and equitable workplace. This role offers not only financial rewards but also personal growth within a culture that values hospitality and top-tier service.
