This role is a seasonal, full-time, non-management position based at the Lido House, located at 3300 Newport Boulevard, Newport Beach, California. With an hourly pay of $29.20, it presents an engaging opportunity in the Food and Beverage & Culinary category. In partnership with Rouxbe Cooking School, the Lido House offers its culinary associates access to an innovative online learning platform. This collaboration enhances career development through Rouxbe’s curriculum, giving associates hundreds of self-paced lessons enriched with practical knowledge and skills to apply in their daily work. The focus of this role is to prepare various food items by following set recipes and quality standards while ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines. Responsibilities include ingredient preparation, proper use of kitchen tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Associates are expected to monitor food quality and portions, report issues promptly, and engage in all safety training and certifications. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds and enduring prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Less than 1-year related work experience
- No supervisory experience
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work full time in a non-management position
- Ability to comply with food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use
- Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods
- Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures
- Check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management
- Wash and disinfect kitchen area
- set-up and break-down work station
