The Housekeeper role at Travel + Leisure Co. supports the general resort operations by maintaining exceptional cleanliness and quality standards within resort units. This position is seasonal and full-time, with an hourly wage of $22.50. A Housekeeper’s responsibilities encompass cleaning various areas including sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms, while ensuring that dust, dirt, and debris are removed effectively. This role also involves vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, making beds, and replenishing supplies such as kitchenware and toiletries to maintain optimal guest comfort.

In addition to the cleaning duties, the Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining positive relationships with guests and associates, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns to ensure total guest satisfaction. The Housekeeper is expected to work independently while following detailed instructions in a fast-paced resort environment, contributing to the smooth operation of the resort and an enhanced guest experience. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Beyond cleanliness, this position serves as the frontline in hospitality, where a professional appearance, effective communication, and a positive, can-do attitude are essential.

Job Duties

  • Clean resort units including sleeping quarters, kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms
  • vacuum, dust, and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, and lobbies
  • make beds and replenish supplies such as kitchenware and toiletries
  • sort, count, fold, mark, or carry linens
  • maintain and adhere to housekeeping detail standards
  • respond appropriately to guest inquiries and concerns
  • handle guest issues to resolution to improve the guest experience
