The Sonesta Nashville Airport is currently seeking a Barista to join the team at the Starbucks located within the hotel. This role offers either full-time or part-time employment options, providing flexibility to meet various scheduling needs. As a Barista, you will be responsible for serving all products with friendly and individualized attention, ensuring each customer receives excellent service. The role requires you to represent the company in a professional manner while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities include opening and closing the coffee shop daily, handling cash transactions as a cashier, greeting guests warmly, and creating a positive experience for all customers. The Barista will operate espresso machines and other shop equipment to prepare beverages and pastries according to established procedures and customers' requests. You must anticipate customer and store needs by observing the environment carefully and responding accordingly. Daily tasks also involve reconciling the cash register balance based on sales reports, maintaining high cleanliness and storage standards within the shop, and communicating effectively with the Restaurant manager regarding equipment or store-related concerns. This position is integral to the daily operations of the Starbucks shop and demands someone who is attentive, helpful, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality. Certifications such as Food Handlers and TIPS are required, along with previous guest service experience and the ability to use computerized cash registers.
