Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • one year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • good customer service skills
  • responsibility and accountability
  • good time and task management skills
  • positive and upbeat attitude
  • proficiency with club repair tools such as a vice, grip knife and shaft cutter
  • verbal and written communication skills in English
  • ability to understand and carry out instructions in English
  • ability to interact professionally
  • ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • ability to communicate well in English
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and instructions
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to speak effectively before groups
  • ability to calculate figures such as discounts and proportions
  • ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts
  • ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint and internet software
  • PGM Program with the PGA of America is preferred

Job Duties

  • Provides assistance for members and guests in the Pro Shop
  • organizes and coordinates golf leagues, outings and special events
  • assists tee-time coordination
  • assists in the maintenance of an accurate inventory
  • marks and defines golf courses
  • produces educational films for members and guests on the current technology
  • performs club repair including grips, cut downs and epoxies
