This role is based at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe, a picturesque, intimate 65-room resort nestled in the high-desert region of New Mexico, known as America's Land of Enchantment. Set on 57 sprawling acres in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and just minutes from Santa Fe's vibrant downtown, this resort offers a unique blend of natural beauty, rustic charm, and elevated regional cuisine. Guests are invited to enjoy hiking serene ridges, indulging in healing spa treatments, and dining at the exquisite Terra restaurant under star-filled skies.

The Seasonal Full-Time Overnight Cook I position at Rancho Encantado offers an outstanding opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about their craft and committed to service excellence. The cook will manage nightly culinary operations, oversee station readiness, and prepare meals consistent with Four Seasons' high standards for quality and presentation. Ideal candidates possess a strong passion for cuisine, attention to detail, and a robust work ethic. They are genuine, compassionate professionals with innate hospitality skills, demonstrating integrity, accountability, and confidence in their decision-making to deliver luxury experiences.

Candidates should have at least three years of experience in similar culinary settings, preferably supported by formal culinary education or training. Flexibility in working hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential, along with physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds. Proficiency in English and legal authorization to work in the United States are mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of culinary experience in a hotel or similar operation
  • Flexible schedule including availability to work nights weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Proficiency in English
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Availability to work through the season from date of hire through October approximately

Job Qualifications

  • High school education cooking school or culinary institute education preferred
  • Passionate about cuisine with strong attention to detail

  • Proficiency in English

Job Duties

  • Manage nightly operations of assigned station including mise en place par levels and cleanliness
  • Verify station readiness by ensuring all areas are properly stocked prepped and organized for service
  • Prepare consistent meals in line with production and quality standards ensuring timely and efficient food service to guests
  • Follow Four Seasons Food Standards recipes and plating guidelines
  • Help prepare for the next day’s breakfast and banquet services
  • Maintain a clean professional appearance and follow all food safety standards
  • Communicate respectfully and effectively with staff relaying guest orders
  • Operate maintain and properly clean kitchen equipment
  • Label date rotate and store all food items according to food safety policies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by culinary leadership
