The Downs at Albuquerque is a well-established and respected racetrack and entertainment venue located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are currently seeking a Seasonal Food Server / Food Runner to join our dynamic and dedicated team on a part-time basis. This role is essential in delivering prompt and exceptional dining experiences to our guests during the racing season. The position offers an hourly wage of $6.00 plus tips, making it an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy fast-paced work environments and customer interaction. The Food Runner will collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure all food orders are delivered efficiently and presented attractively. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a food service role is a plus but not required
Ability to work flexible hours including day, evening, and night shifts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for extended periods and carry food trays
Must comply with food safety and hygiene standards
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
Experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and customers
Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques is a plus

Job Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately
Ensure that all orders are complete and presented in an appealing manner before serving
Assist servers in providing excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and adherence to food safety standards
Communicate effectively with both front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations
Help with food handling and preparation as needed, adhering to all safety protocols
